Here are a few of the stories on our watch list:

The New York Times is reporting that Iran is prepared to start production at another uranium enrichment site. A 'psychic spy 'source to STARstream Research previous reported Iran has a covert program may already be in place and stockpiling an arsenal at a hidden location. The source told STARpod.org that the Iranians have more than one secret underground weapons factory. The source claims to have been tasked to use psychic perception to determine the location of secret Iranian nuclear facilities in 2002. According to the NY Times article, "The new facility is buried deep underground on a well-defended military site and is considered far more resistant to airstrikes that the existing enrichment site at Natanz." All of this takes place as Iran threatens to shut down the strait of Hormuz, choking off a major oil supply route.

In 2009, STARstream Research evaluated psychic intelligence suggesting that a new leader had been chosen for North Korea. According to news reports today, the North's new leader Kim Jong Un "was being groomed as early as 2009 to succeed Kim Jong Il.g Il. The psychic code received in 2009, -- AMBROSE DELTA LEADER -- was interpreted as "Change of the Immortal Leader."

Gaddafi Dead At 'Hands of Rebel Fighters' As Predicted in August 2011

(STARpod.org) -- NTC Officials in Libya are reporting that Muammar Gaddafi has been killed by rebel forces.

According to various accounts circulating from mainstream media sources, including the BBC, and CNN's Live Blog, Gaddafi is dead, but the actual circumstances behind the killing of Gaddafi remain unclear.

In August 2011, psychic sources provided intelligence to STARstream Research, suggesting the latest assault against Gaddafi and his forces would result in an announcement that he had been killed.

An email shared between sources and STARstream Research sent on August 21 noted, "D/RV [psychic dream event / remote viewing source] Gaddafi is...Dead at hands of rebels."

A few days later, Gary S. Bekkum posted on his Twitter account, "Unconfirmed psychic intelligence from past weekend: rebels to claim Gaddafi dead...will wait to see."

Another independent psychic source replied, "Yes, I only just [now] saw any news [about Gaddafi] as [I have] been working [the] weekend. I dreamt the fall would take months. Going to check what I posted. But last night [I] saw the end of the tyrant. Who will replace him?"

According to a report by Reuters, "An NTC spokesman in Benghazi, Jalal al-Galal, said a doctor who examined Gaddafi when he arrived in Misrata found he had been shot in the head and abdomen."

A source told Reuters: "They captured him alive and while he was being taken away, they beat him and then they killed him."

The psychic intelligence from August suggested Gaddafi would be killed if he fell into rebel hands, and would only survive if he surrendered to NATO.

MSNBC reported, "A Predator drone fired a Hellfire missile on Moammar Gadhafi's 15 vehicle convoy, which led to Gadhafi fleeing the scene, but later being captured and dying at the hands of rebel fighters."

Could a home grown terrorist build and fly a small drone packed with explosives into the White House, the Pentagon, or the US Capitol Building? That's the question examined by Associated Press in their coverage of an FBI sting operation alleged to involve a model airplane and C4 explosives.

According to the AP report, the model aircraft are "military-jet replicas, 5 to 7 1/2 feet long, guided by GPS devices and capable of speeds over 100 mph."

The FBI arrested Rezwan Ferdaus, a US national from Massachusetts, who is reported to have a physics degree from Northeastern University in Boston. CNN has the story about the plot.

In the early 1980s, military psychics from Army Intelligence (INSCOM) warned of potential terror plots involving small jet aircraft, or Learjets, packed with explosives and targeted against Washington, D.C.

From the 'Sky is Falling' Department: The Internet is buzzing over the imminent return of a failed satellite expected to plunge to the Earth on Friday. MSNBC's Cosmic Log includes information about the six-ton satellite, what parts are expected to survive, and how to watch it coming down. There's nothing too exciting to report on UFO sightings, however, beyond the usual anecdotal accounts of unidentifiable lights in the sky.

On the other hand, it's been fifty years since the infamous Betty and Barney Hill UFO alien extraterrestrial abduction story. Read all about it at FOX News.

Psychics warned of new bombs, terror threat to planes

(STARpod.org) -- The latest terror attempt to down a Northwest Airlines/Delta jetliner should be seen as an exclamation mark at the end of numerous warnings provided by sources using AMP -- anomalous mental phenomena.

AMP is best viewed (and this is our position at STARstream Research) as "active imagination in action" -- a rich resource for threat scenario generation.

The official (now partially declassified) history of AMP in the U.S. intelligence community ranges from "not even wrong" to "eight martini results" -- from the absurd to predictions and details so shocking they require at least eight martinis to recover one's sense of reality.

The U.S. government may or may not be currently active in the AMP field; evidence strongly suggests that at least for a time following 9/11, the intelligence community in the U.S and the U.K. "reactivated" human resources with AMP track records.

AMP source warnings began heating up in August of 2009, peaked briefly at the beginning of September, just prior to the official disclosure of several terror plots, and then fell off into November -- the exception being a twelve hour advance warning of impending disturbing paramilitary events on the day of the Fort Hood shootings.

As much as the I.C. would be thrilled to access information from "beyond space and time" to provide early warning, the Fort Hood incident illustrates the core problem with AMP -- too little too late -- this is at best a supplementary resource input into real-world intelligence to perturb the system towards unrecognized threats and away from complacency.

As an example, here is a brief review of AMP-sourced details provided on September 19, 2009:

Threats will be on-going.

New weapons and methods are under development.

New methods are being tested using computer simulations.

Some new weapons will have advanced triggering mechanisms (remote control, timers).

One new method (this AMP information dated 9/19/2009) involves a mixture (explosive) (chemical).

A new weapon involves skin contact.

A weapon will be carried in a vial.

It is then suggested this device produces:

Pop (sound) fizz

Apparently the above describes a failed explosion, as the effect is described as "small" and a "joke."

A follow-up to the above on October 13, 2009:

No imminent threat will be visible, but within an outer layer of peace, a hidden core is growing.

A new improvised explosive device which is built from a coffee can and may be triggered by radio remote control.

Mail bombs may become a threat -- business executives may be the intended targets.

On October 27, 2009:

Involvement of state intelligence operatives is suggested.

A threat involving "carry on" [suggesting air travel].

On November 24, 2009:

Target: Air Civilian Transport

Holiday Air Travel

Concerns to maintain security by "thorough examination" and approval using "machine tests" and other methods.

On December 4, 2009:

New methods involve "hard to track" "hit and run" use of improvised explosive devices.

Targets of concern include train, subway, aircraft, and subterranean level access (tunnels, rail tracks)

Increased "chatter" -- information withheld from public

Viewpoint: Missiles, Shields, and Nukes in the News

Lately, the talking heads of the mainstream media have been speaking on topics I suspect most Americans prefer not to think about.

Once the discussion shifts away from front page political issues like health care, and security concerns like the recent reports of terror threats, the topic moves on to world-class concerns about missiles, shields, and nukes.

Although many expressed shock in public about the revelation of a secret Iranian nuclear facility, it was hardly a surprise to anyone following Iranian efforts to obtain operational nuclear weapons (one of our key "psychic" sources actually located this site, and another yet to be revealed, in 2002).

The Iranians responded to the public revelation by launching several missile tests.

Since the United States dropped plans to build a missile defense shield in Poland and shifted to the ship-based Aegis missile defense system.

One question I have yet to see discussed by the talking heads is how to defend the missile defense systems against covert nuclear attack.

During the cold war, the nuclear playing card was kept in check by the MAD doctrine:

Mutually Assured Destruction from an overwhelming nuclear response against the enemy's assets.

The present world situation is rapidly devolving away from MAD towards madness.

Although the world has always been vulnerable to covertly smuggled nuclear devices, the overwhelming nuclear response wielded by the United States against a small number of adversaries effectively deferred any advantage.

MAD was an effective doctrine not because both sides of the cold war feared mutual destruction. The real effectiveness of MAD was the mutual desire for on-going balance and stability by leaders who understood the futility of nuclear war.

Certainly the marriage of nuclear weapons to missiles capable of reaching distant targets in other nations is a major concern. Equally disturbing is the potential for the covert use of nuclear weapons in a world unbalanced by the complexity of emerging threats. The potential use of covert nuclear weapons in acts of state sponsored terror threatens to destabilize nuclear deterrence.

The Space, Propulsion & Energy Sciences International Forum (SPESIF) replaced the Space Technology Applications International Forum (STAIF) in 2009 after 25 years of service to the nuclear and space communities. SPESIF wishes to establish itself as the US forum on advanced space - science and technology applications, specifically directed toward Lunar/Mars/Beyond space exploration, in co-operation with AIAA, AAS and other space organizations. The first SPESIF was held this past February in Huntsville, Alabama with 79 presented and published papers and 30+ other presentations covering a wide range of space related subjects. Our attendees included participation from industry, government and academia and included representation from 10+ foreign counties.

CNN: "Galaxy May Be Full of Earths"

CNN is reporting that our galaxy many be "full of Earths" ... and alien life.

According to the CNN report, "As NASA prepares to hunt for Earth-like planets in our corner of the Milky Way galaxy, there's new buzz that "Star Trek's" vision of a universe full of life may not be that far-fetched."

An unnamed source to STARstream Research, with an extensive background providing intelligence to the US government, previously confirmed "three contacts" between the government and "extraterrestrial biological" beings from other worlds, beginning shortly after World War Two and returning during the 1980s and 1990s. The source did not offer to provide any substantiating evidence to support the claim of alien life visiting the Earth.

CNN also reported:

There may be 100 billion Earth-like planets in the Milky Way, or one for every sun-type star in the galaxy, said Alan Boss, an astronomer with the Carnegie Institution and author of the new book "The Crowded Universe: The Search for Living Planets."

NASA: Dark Energy Looks Like Einstein's "Greatest Blunder"

Einstein called the cosmological constant his "greatest blunder" but according to NASA, new evidence suggests Einstein was right after all:

The study strengthens the evidence that dark energy is the cosmological constant. Although it is the leading candidate to explain dark energy, theoretical work suggests it should be about 10 raised to the power of 120 times larger than observed. Therefore, alternatives to general relativity, such as theories involving hidden dimensions, are being explored.

Since dark energy acts as an "antigravity force" the physics behind the observed phenomenology is now one of the greatest scientific problems of the early 21st century.

Office of Director of National Intelligence High Frequency Gravity Wave Report

JASON was asked by staff at the National MASINT Committee of ODNI to evaluate the scientific, technological, and national security significance of high frequency gravitational waves (HFGW). Our main conclusions are that the proposed applications of the science of HFGW are fundamentally wrong; that there can be no security threat; and that independent scientific and technical vetting of such hypothetical threats is generally necessary. We conclude that previous analysis of the Li-Baker detector concept is incorrect by many orders of magnitude; and that the following are infeasible in the foreseeable future: detection of the natural “relic” HFGW, which are reliably predicted to exist; or detection of artificial sources of HFGW. No foreign threat in HFGW is credible, including: Communication by means of HFGW; Object detection or imaging (by HFGW radar or tomography); Vehicle propulsion by HFGW; or any other practical use of HFGW. For the relatively weak fields in the lab, on the Earth, or indeed in the solar system (far from the cutting-edge science of black holes of the Big Bang), the general theory of relativity and its existing experimental basis are complete, accurate and reliable.

Minds, Machines, and Maybe the End of the World?

Some of the best and brightest among us are about to see a dream brought to realization. This week the Large Hadron Collider will begin experiments to bring human curiosity closer to the creation of the universe than any previous effort to date.

As reported by Reuters:

Scientists involved in a historic "Big Bang" experiment to begin this week hope it will turn up many surprises about the universe and its origins -- but reject suggestions it will bring the end of the world.

As with all ventures into the unexplored unknown, there are risks but the general assessment denies any danger to the planet, based on the fact that although the "Large Hadron Collider (LHC) can achieve an energy that no other particle accelerators have reached before ... Nature routinely produces higher energies in cosmic-ray collisions ... whatever the LHC will do, Nature has already done many times over during the lifetime of the Earth and other astronomical bodies."

Among the many exotic dangers examined for the LHC are "hypothetical objects such as vacuum bubbles [capable in theory of destroying the entire universe!], magnetic monopoles, microscopic black holes and strangelets ..."

Max Tegmark and Nick Bostrom wrote a paper a few years ago pointing to a possible flaw in the arguments made by LHC proponents: they had ignored the observational selection effect.

Fortunately, they concluded, in spite of the fact that "one cannot infer that such [catastrophic] events are rare from the the fact that Earth has survived for so long, because observers are by definition in places lucky enough to have avoided destruction," their "result closes the logical loophole of selection bias and gives reassurance that the risk of accelerator-triggered doomsday is extremely small, so long as events equivalent to those in our experiments occur more frequently in the natural environment."

UPDATE: Alien Life on Mars?

WIRED's science blog is reporting about rumors coming from the discovery of water on the Red Planet:

Rumors are flying this weekend that Mars Phoenix has made a major discovery relating to the potential for life on Mars.

One source for the rumor is this report from AVIATION WEEK, which claims:

The White House has been alerted by NASA about plans to make an announcement soon on major new Phoenix lander discoveries concerning the "potential for life" on Mars, scientists tell Aviation Week & Space Technology.

Sources say the new data do not indicate the discovery of existing or past life on Mars. Rather the data relate to habitability--the "potential" for Mars to support life--at the Phoenix arctic landing site, sources say.

The data are much more complex than results related NASA's July 31 announcement that Phoenix has confirmed the presence of water ice at the site.

UPDATE Tuesday, August 5th, 2008 7PM CDT

NASA has announced and the media is reporting the presence of perchlorate in the Martian soil.

Associated Press reports:

"In itself, it is neither good nor bad for life," chief scientist Peter Smith of the University of Arizona in Tucson said of the chemical.

The NASA Phoenix Mars web site reports:

"We decided to show the public science in action because of the extreme interest in the Phoenix mission, which is searching for a habitable environment on the northern plains of Mars," Smith added. "Right now, we don't know whether finding perchlorate is good news or bad news for possible life on Mars."

Military Action Looms Over Iran

ABC News is reporting:

Senior Pentagon officials are concerned that Israel could carry out an attack on Iran's nuclear facilities before the end of the year, an action that would have enormous security and economic repercussions for the United States and the rest of the world.

Seymour Hersh, the well-known investigative journalist, claims his sources have told him of a secret U.S. government effort against Iran.

The story by Hersh, "Preparing the Battlefield," was published in The New Yorker.

Hersh later revealed additional information in an interview with National Public Radio (NPR) which can be listened to on-line:

"Investigative journalist Seymour Hersh believes that the United States may be closer to armed conflict with Iran than previously imagined."

According to ABC News, "Pentagon officials believe the massive Israeli air force exercise in early June, first reported by the New York Times, was done to prepare for a possible attack. A senior official called it 'not a rehearsal, but basic, fundamental training' required to launch an operation against Iran."

AFP reports that "The White House declined to comment Monday on a news report that US lawmakers last year approved 400 million dollars to ramp up covert operations in Iran to undermine Tehran's leadership."

"I couldn't comment either way," spokeswoman Dana Perino said after The New Yorker magazine reported tat the US Congress passed US President George W. Bush's funding request for a dramatic increase in such secret operations.

Intelligence based upon enhancement using AMP -- anomalous mental phenomena -- lead STARstream Research to raise the STAR Threat Level in anticipation of a strong probability of damaging events in the near future.

A Nuclear Family Vacation

Sharon Weinberger and Nathan Hodge have just released their new book, A Nuclear Family Vacation: Travels in the World of Atomic Weaponry (Bloomsbury, 2008).

The book, and an interview with Sharon and Nathan, was posted on-line by WIRED blogger Noah Shachtman at the DANGER ROOM blog:

Sharon Weinberger is a senior reporter for Wired’s national security blog, Danger Room and the co-author of A Nuclear Family Vacation: Travels in the World of Atomic Weaponry (Bloomsbury, 2008). Most recently, she was the founding editor-in-chief of Defense Technology International, a monthly magazine published by McGraw Hill’s Aviation Week Group. She has also written on science and technology for the Washington Post Magazine, Slate, Nature, Discover, and Aviation Week & Space Technology.

Weinberger’s first book, Imaginary Weapons: A Journey Through the Pentagon’s Scientific Underworld (Nation Books, 2006), is an exploration of the military’s fascination with fringe science. Iranian Threats Target U.S. Naval Vessels

Associated Press is reporting:

WASHINGTON - In what is being called a serious provocation, Iranian Revolutionary Guard boats harassed and provoked three U.S. Navy ships in the strategic Strait of Hormuz, officials said Monday.

U.S. forces were on the verge of firing on the Iranian boats in the early Sunday incident, when the boats ended the incident and turned and moved away, said a Pentagon official.

"It is the most serious provocation of this sort that we've seen yet," said the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak on the record.

Previous WARNING NOTICE posts have considered whether Iranian threats to CIA should be taken seriously.

Update:

Reuters is now reporting that "Iran on Monday confirmed there was an "incident" between Iranian and U.S. ships but gave no details, an Iranian news agency reported, after Washington said Iranian vessels threatened their ships in the Strait of Hormuz."

Pentagon spokesman Bryan Whitman confirmed the weekend incident during a briefing on Monday, saying Iranian actions were "careless, reckless and potentially hostile."

Crisis in Pakistan: What About the Nukes?

Concerns previously raised here about the safety of Pakistan's nuclear arsenal and delivery systems, including U.S. supplied F-16's that can be modified to carry nuclear weapons, are now being discussed in the major media.

NPR's All Things Considered reports:

"The political turmoil in Pakistan is stoking fears about the country's nuclear weapons stockpile. Pakistan is believed to have at least 50 nuclear weapons.

Analysts say the concern isn't so much that al Qaida will breach any of the facilities, but that disgruntled scientists may gain access. There's also the ongoing concern about what India may do if Pervez Musharraf is toppled and the nukes become vulnerable."

China Initiates Lunar Conquest

China has launched a space probe destined for the moon.

The circumlunar satellite Chang'e-1 blasted off on a Long March3A carrier rocket at 6:05 p.m. (10:05 GMT) from the No. 3 launch tower in the Xichang Satellite Launch Center of southwestern Sichuan Province.

Chang'e-1, named after a legendary Chinese goddess of moon, is expected to experience four accelerations and enter earth-moon transfer orbit on October 31 and arrive in the moon's orbit on November 5.

In the United States, "NASA will return astronauts to the moon by 2020, using the Ares and Orion spacecraft already under development. Astronauts will set up a lunar outpost – possibly near a south pole site called Shackleton Crater – where they’ll conduct scientific research, as well as test technologies and techniques for possible exploration of Mars and other destinations."

NASA has created a web page devoted to reasons behind returning to the moon.

Spy Game Report

Ryan Dube of Reality Uncovered posted an update yesterday on the long-overdue expose' intended to reveal "the man (or men) behind the curtain" involved in Internet espionage related to UFOs.

According to Dube, "The first draft of this article ended about a month ago at 70+ pages. At that point we conducted an off-the-record and very private interview with a very important alleged source of old ufology ... That interview ended up revealing a great deal of new information and we've been spending the last month attempting to incorporate that new data into the existing 70+ pages. We're currently in the process of focusing and revising that draft down to 40+ pages for a good solid publishable article. We also need to obtain permission from several people to use the quotes we end up using, or simply quoting "no comment" if permission isn't obtained. And of course we need to follow up with the interviewee and possibly another couple of interviews to tie up loose ends."

Once Dube posts the final version of this report we will be prepared to compare notes and comment on the results here. One item of mutual concern we have discussed with Mr. Dube involves FBI interest in the Internet activities of past and present intelligence officers and officials.

FBI involvement would appear to be at two different levels.

The first involves the standard review of security clearances of persons involved in other areas of national security.

The second involves investigation of possible impropriety, up to and including espionage on behalf of a foreign power, by former intelligence officers.

A third issue raised recently is whether or not a senior intelligence official responded appropriately to an imagined threat to the White House. The most serious aspect of this situation are publicly posted details suggesting such a threat by the perpetrator himself, and his involvement with the senior intelligence official. We are concerned for the safety and the mental health of Mr. Smith, and question the motives of the senior intelligence official.

"... would you rather come back as Dan Smith or as a Circus Freak in a white robe landing on the White House lawn? I did take up flying lessons to do that, but when Ron discovered the flight manuals in the trunk of my car, I got cold feet. I mean, really! I'm older and much wiser now. I wonder if he remembered to notify the FBI? Am I on the No Fly (your own plane) List?"

This item should have been of concern to Secret Service charged with protection of the President of the United States.

A similar threat was realized during the Clinton Administration:

On September 12, 1994, at 1:49 a.m., a Cessna 150L airplane crashed onto the South Lawn of the White House, killing the pilot, Frank Eugene Corder, but injuring no one else. The plane came to a halt against the south wall of the Executive Mansion, causing minimal damage. President Clinton and his family were not in residence at the time; hence, they were never in any danger.

arXiv Paper Declares Arrival of "Spookytechnology"

Yes, “the spooks” (NSA, etc.) fund a lot of spookytechnology. The control and ability needed
to construct a large quantum computer device is the extreme example of quantum technology engineering based on the spooky properties of the quantum world.

Charles Tahan, of the Cavendish Laboratory at Cambridge University, has declared the beginning of a sexy new era in emerging quantum science: new technologies based on the exotic properties of quantum mechanics, like quantum entanglement.

Tahan proposes that a new "public-friendly" name be given to the application of weird and counter intuitive aspects of quantum theory:

"SPOOKYTECHNOLOGY"

"Spookytechnology" encompasses all functional devices, systems, and materials whose utility relies in whole or in part on higher order quantum properties of matter and energy that have no counterpart in the classical world. These purely quantum traits may include superposition, entanglement, decoherence (along with the quantum aspects of measurement and error
correction) or new behavior that emerges in engineered quantum many-body systems.

The king of spooky quantumness is quantum entanglement. As physicists define it, “entanglement” refers to a peculiar quality of the known universe whereby quantum objects in certain situations cannot be described separately, even though they may be separated in space. In other words, if an atom in London is entangled with an atom in Tokyo, they are still one quantum system, which can only be understood together. Entanglement is a multi-object generalization of quantum superposition, another astounding quantum trait, where a particle can exist in two states at once (here and there, up and down). Both properties have been
experimentally confirmed.

The spooky side of Quantum Mechanics has been invoked countless times to explain everything from consciousness (Penrose-Hameroff theory) to some of the strangest of the weirdness reported in the paranormal world.

Tahan points out this is NOT his intention, but appears to be a realist who accepts that quantum mysticism is here to stay:

We don’t necessarily want a word that creates crazy speculation or adds to the ignorance
of the general population. But quantum already does this. In general, more interest is better than less. If spookytechnology better invites the question: “What is that?,” than it has more educational value.

We couldn't agree more. If we somehow manage to survive the 21st Century, it's going to be "spookytechnology" from here on out.

Portland, Guam, Tempe, Under Simulated Attack

This past summer we reported on alleged nuclear devices being moved about the United States. Although we could not confirm the rumor, today the DHS is engaged in an exercise to prepare for the worst:

Exercise Scenario

The TOPOFF 4 Full-Scale Exercise is based on National Planning Scenario 11 (NPS-11). The scenario begins as terrorists, who have been planning attacks in Oregon, Arizona, and the U.S. Territory of Guam, successfully bring radioactive material into the United States. The first of three coordinated attacks occurs in Guam, with the simulated detonation of a Radiological Dispersal Device (RDD), or “dirty bomb,” causing casualties and wide-spread contamination in a populous area near a power plant. Similar attacks occur in the hours that follow in Portland and Phoenix.

An RDD is not the same as a nuclear attack. It is a conventional explosive that, upon detonation, releases radioactive material into the surrounding area. Although it does not cause the type of catastrophic damage associated with a nuclear detonation, there are severe rescue, health, and long-term decontamination concerns associated with an RDD. Real weapons will not be used in the scenario, but the response will be mounted as if they had been.

Arlington Institute Alert: "I am creating artificial life."

John Petersen has issued an alert from the futurist think-tank Arlington Institute:

"Craig Venter, the controversial DNA researcher involved in the race to decipher the human genetic code, has built a synthetic chromosome out of laboratory chemicals and is poised to announce the creation of the first new artificial life form on Earth."

The story of Venter's work to create to artificial life was published by UK's Guardian Unlimited.

Mr Venter told the Guardian he thought this landmark would be "a very important philosophical step in the history of our species. We are going from reading our genetic code to the ability to write it. That gives us the hypothetical ability to do things never contemplated before."

We suggest that everyone read this important and thought provoking story.

"The wholly synthetically reconstructed chromosome, which the team have christened Mycoplasma laboratorium, has been watermarked with inks for easy recognition.It is then transplanted into a living bacterial cell and in the final stage of the process it is expected to take control of the cell and in effect become a new life form."

SPACETIME THREAT LEVEL REDUCED TO HIGH: a potential exists for damaging events

STAR Threat Level Reduced: Threat Level Continues at HIGH

The STAR Spacetime Threat Assessment Level has been reduced from SEVERE to HIGH.

The decision to reduce the threat level was based on the non-specific nature of AMP data.

AMP is anomalous mental phenomena, the power of human intuition to anticipate the future.

Late last year, AMP data predicted a potential for attacks against the ground facilities at airports. This was several months before the revelation of the plot to destroy the JFK International Airport.

The threat level remained at SEVERE over the summer months. A failed bomb attack took place at Glasgow International on the 30th of June, following failed bombings in London. This resulted in the British authorities raising the threat level to CRITICAL, the highest level used in the United Kingdom.

The STAR Threat Level anticipated the airport bombing and remained at SEVERE from the end of May, 2007, until today.

In addition, unconfirmed conventional sources reported warnings of possible nuclear devices moving about the United States.

AMP-sources suggested that any concerns coming from the Department of Homeland Security involved simulations of a nuclear event, although one possible device "involving a Plutonium core" was reported as inoperable.

A conventional source later reported the alleged devices were tactical munitions from the 1950s.

AMP-sources also reported two possible intended targets for the devices: one was the Port of Long Beach, California. The other location was in the Great Lakes area.

Shortly after the Port of Long Beach was identified as a potential target site, Michael Chertoff, the Secretary of Homeland Security, arrived at the sister port of Los Angeles, to speak about the nuclear threat to the twin ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles:

"Earlier today, I spoke at the Port of Los Angeles, which is the busiest port in our country. 44% of all U.S. imports enter through the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach. So how much money are we talking about? Simply put, $295 billion. That number should tell us just how critical our ports remain to our economy. Clearly, if terrorists want to devastate our economy, then from a cost/benefit perspective, one way of doing that is to launch devastating attacks on these essential vehicles for commerce and trade."

The AMP data continued to be ambiguous, but appeared to reflect a RAND Report about an attack against the Port of Long Beach:

In 2004, the RAND Corporation performed a study for the Department of Homeland Security
to examine response strategies following a catastrophic terrorist attack. For this work, a detailed scenario was constructed, describing the effects of a terrorist-detonated nuclear explosion in the Port of Long Beach, and a series of strategic decision making games were executed with leaders from the government and the emergency response community.

The similarity of AMP-sourced data to the RAND Study suggested that the original report of "attack simulations at the DHS" was correct.

The second location, a general target near the Great Lakes, was identified by three different AMP-sources. An unconfirmed conventional report suggested this location may have been the target of a thwarted attack of an unknown nature.

One of the problems for AMP-sources is the failure to receive feedback about the AMP-identified target locations.

Another recent non-specific AMP-sourced area of concern involved the Potomac.

New York City remains another location of concern.

AMP-sources are used to "enhance" conventional intelligence, without any assumption of the veracity of the AMP data. The enhancement is intended to provide creative input that conventional data might otherwise overlook.

Along the way we've been busy posting other topics of interest that were not related to the UFO question and intelligence agencies.

As a result I am in the process of creating new blogs to reduce the number of "off-topic" posts at "Spies, Lies, and Polygraph Tape." The blogs can be previewed out at the STARpod.org BLOG-NET page. Another advantage that comes with the new blogs will be the ease of embedding blog updated content directly into our web pages at Starstream Research and STARpod.org.
